The "Etude Finder"

Suppose you (or your student) is working on scales and arpeggios in B major.
Quick, can you think of any etudes that happen to use a lot of B major scales and arpeggios?

This was originally a database I built while working on my doctoral dissertation in the 1990's. I surveyed college trombone teachers to determine the most popular etude books. For the books at the top of that list, I analyzed each etude to determine if it was useful for certain pedagogical goals. One portion of this database was "key studies," etudes which happened to contain a lot of scales, arpeggios or both.

"Just Scales" = Just scale studies in that key.
"Just Arpeggios" = Just arpeggio studies in that key
"Mixed" = Just studies that have a mixture of scales and arpeggios in that key.
