Block Routine
Here is a set routine largely based on the ideas of the of the Daily Routine Menu - The Daily Routine "Menu"
Revised August, 2007
Many exercises you can dowload for free! - 12 Simple Tunes
I'm a big believer in the value of simple tunes for a variety of uses: buzzing, sight-singing, transposing, duets, warming-up...you name it! - BoneWeek Fanfares
I composed these fanfares for some of the International Trombone Weeks. They are written for trombone octet (some include a crude midi sound file you can listen to). - Sample pages from my new book: Lip Slurs: Progressive Exercises for the Development of Tone and Technique.
- Sample Ear Training Patterns (for imitation)
- The Serocki Sonatina with some
examples of derivative meter.
Basically, derivative meter is any meter derived from the musical patterns. The idea is that one might interpret the piece more effectively by choosing to count in a derived meter. - Happy Fun Trombone Audition Puzzles!

Brad Edwards: Live Performances
Here are some samples from live performances I've given over the years.
Drone Tones
These files are perfect fifths (with the fifth raised 2 cents for perfect
intonation)
Play slowly along with them and listen carefully for beats. Practice with
them regularly and your ear should greatly improve. Each tone lasts about
60 seconds.
Be warned: these are .wav files (with the .mp3 format, quality tends to suffer)
and are large (5.46 mb for each tone).
